This place is top notch. I remember coming here back in the 80s when I was just a kid. I have been here a couple times recently and it is delicious. No wonder the place is still doing great business after all these decades. The service is always good as well. I'm not a salad person and I wish they had more soups. Can't really complain though.

I was recommended by a friend to try this restaurant. I took my wife last Saturday August 23, 2025 with a reservation at 7:30. We arrived early to sit at the bar for a cocktail. Exceptional service from Julie and Stephanie. They Made you feel like it was home. Our table was ready and we were greeted by Eileen, another incredible experience. The food was awesome, I had the Filet, and my wife had the lamb. We have found our regular place. Oh and the pricing was very reasonable.
Service was excellent, atmosphere was great, but TWO dishes were served with bay leaves still present. That’s like cooking 101–c’mon dudes. You can’t serve clams casino with bay leaves in the mix—please remind your back of house to remove them before serving. It’s a choking hazard for those who don’t know it’s inedible. Aside from that, I’d come back for events & regular meals.
Things changed with Covid. The window at the kitchen is gone, everything goes through the waitstaff, no problem but the ambiance changed. Delicious steak and ribs, wish I could’ve ordered one plate with both, there’s chicken and ribs but not steak and ribs. Salad bar left nothing out. Sever did a good job, we asked a runner for an extra plate; she forgot our request while we were asking.
My husband and I stopped for dinner on the way home from the airport. When we lived in the area 20+ years ago the Library was our go to for special occasions. Our steaks were very good, tasty and well cooked. The baked potatoes were a little hard, the salad bar was nice. The atmosphere didn't feel as cozy to me as it was when we used to dine here. All in all it was good, just not as good as I remembered.
